If you are looking for an easy and cheap Valentines Day gift for a loved one, try out this cute little Cupcake Bouquet tutorial. It is a great gift for anyone who loves flowers and especially cupcakes!
Items Needed:
Flower Pot
Styrofoam Ball
43 mini cupcakes
Skewers or Toothpicks
Permanent Maker
Glue
So let’s get started!! If you haven’t already, bake 43 mini cupcakes and frost them. (Click here to learn how to decorate your cupcakes with a buttercream rose) Set the cupcakes aside and begin prepping your flower-pot.
Try to purchase your flower-pot and styrofoam ball from the same store so that you can measure the circumference of the styrofoam ball and the flower pot’s diameter. The flower pot’s diameter I am using in the tutorial is measured at 6″ and the styrofoam ball’s circumference is 6″. With a marker, draw the measured circumference around the styrofoam ball.
Take your styrofoam ball and place glue along the line you drew earlier. I like to use a hot glue gun, that way I know the styrofoam ball will not move but Elmer’s Glue will also do the trick. It may take the Elmer’s Glue awhile to dry, so it is best to let it dry overnight.
Take your skewers and insert 1 into the styrofoam ball. With the sharp end of a skewer, poke a small hole into the bottom of your cupcake and place it onto the skewer that is in the styrofoam ball. Starting at the bottom, place the skewed cupcake into the styrofoam ball until it is completed covered with cupcakes.
So pretty!! For the finishing touch, sprinkle edible glitter on the cupcakes or you can even tie a satin ribbon around your flower-pot and deliver to your loved one! Can we say #giftforher or maybe even #giftforhim…
