My journey through this thing called “Adult Acne” has been a rough journey for me. All throughout my younger years I had reasonably clear skin. An occasional small pimple from here to there, but nothing serious. So what changed? My hormones were all over the place when I was pregnant with my son and I thought maybe that’s what triggered my adult acne.
Could it be from imbalanced hormones? From what I am eating? Products that I am using on my face? My laundry detergent? There were so many variables and I just could not figure out the exact cause. Adult Acne impacts more people than you think and it is a real issue. I just could not understand why my face was going through so much at one time. I have tried all of the brand facial cleansers and nothing seemed to work on my face. I was about to give up the hopes on clearing this skin of mine until I did a lot of research and decided to make soap for myself.
HOW I CLEARED MY ACNE
This healing process has been an extreme lifestyle change and wasn’t an easy road for me. I initially began by changing my diet. I figured it had to be something that I was eating, so I became a Pescatarian for a few months. Didn’t see any real results so I changed up and became a Vegetarian. Same thing, no real results, so I jumped head first and became a Vegan! No meat, no diary products, and no animal bi-products! I wasn’t a big meat eater anyway so the transition wasn’t too hard for me. I began to notice a difference in my skin as well as my overall health. I was eating cleaner and feeling a lot better, but I would still have facial acne. OMG, what am I doing wrong?! I was already drinking 1 gallon of water per day and eating right but I just could not figure out what was going on.
At that moment I decided to make soap for myself and my son, since he too suffered from acne which was in the form of eczema. Through heavy trail and error, I created 2 soaps that removed toxins from my body and toned my skin. Why didn’t I think of this sooner? Ugh! I wasted so much money on products that did not work for my skin. I came up with Activated Charcoal Facial soap which removes the toxins from your skin. Activated Charcoal is a powder-like substances derived from burning ashes of wood, coconut shells, coal, and even bamboo. Benefits of this soap is known to be excellent for acne prone skin, eliminated dirt and residue, promotes healthy skin, retains moisture, and unclogs pores. I used this soap twice a day for 30 days until the bumps on my face started to fade away. Take a look at my results!
After I detoxified my skin with the Activated Charcoal, I used my Turmeric Facial soap to tone my skin. Benefits of turmeric is known to treat acne scars, prevent inflammation, and brighten dark spots. It is an antiseptic and antibacterial soap. I use this as my daily go to facial soap. It has a mild turmeric scent and I just love this soap for my skin. What ever took me so long to figure this out?!
