Yep, you read correctly, today’s tip is to ditch your New Year’s Resolution! Instead, you should make the most out of your New Year! Tired of the same “New Year New You” mumbo jumbo? So am I. Together, lets vow to make 2019 and beyond, years we can truly sit back and appreciate the things we went through and accomplished. Here are some key points you should consider for 2019:
- Be focused on you
- Be realistic about the things you will accomplish in the new year
- Be confident in yourself
- Be inspired by positivity and exude good vibes
Last year I decided not to make a New Year’s Resolution, but rather to make a Vision Board on things I envision myself actually doing within that year. By cutting out pictures from magazines and pasting them onto a board, I was able to set realistic goals for myself and visually see them through. After each one was completed, I simply made a check mark by each one.
A vision board is a collage of images, pictures and affirmations of one’s dreams and desires, designed to serve as a source of inspiration and motivation, and to use the law of attraction to attain goals
Sounds simple right? Well it is! I’m sure you have a few magazines on your coffee table or even in your bathroom. You’ve flipped through them enough times to see the photos and mini articles right? Yep, you have and I know you’re going to trash them soon. Cut out the pictures that inspire you and paste them onto your vision board.
Along with my vision board, I made note of every happy moment of 2018 and placed it in a jar. On the first day of the year, I sat back and read all of my happy moments of the year and smiled! 2018 was a great year and 2019 will be even better!
