Items Needed:
Rice Crispy Treats
Fondant
Heart or Flower Cookie Cutter
Xacto Knife
Rolling Pin
Red Edible Gel
Directions
You should have at least two different color fondant balls ready. I am using Wilton’s Pre-packaged fondant; one in red and the other in white. Roll out the white fondant to about 1/4″ thick. This will be used as the actual letter covering for your Rice Crispy Treat.
Place your Rice Crispy Treats on top of your rolled fondant. Make sure you allow at least 2″ of space in between each Rice Crispy Treat so you have room to cut the fondant.
Take your Xacto Knife and cut around each Rice Crispy Treat.
Remove the excess fondant and turn the Rice Crispy Treats over on the opposite side.
Take your colored fondant and roll it flat. You may want to roll it to the same thickness as the white fondant which was 1/4″ thick.
Take your heart cookie cutter and cut out 3 hearts and set them aside.
Time to decorate!! Place your Rice Crispy Treats in a line so it is easier to decorate them.
With Wilton’s Edible Gel (I like to use the Blood Red Sparkle Gel because it is EXTRA red), draw a small V from corner to corner of the Rice Crispy Treat.
And Voila! Cute little edible Love Letters for the kiddies.
