KCP Helping Hands is an apprenticeship program aimed to assist the youth an the unemployment gain on-the-job training through volunteering. The target ages for this organization are 16-45 years old.
While the volunteers are in this organization, we are planning to keep them up-to-date on job training, obtaining a Virginia ID (if needed), voter’s registrations, online courses, resume writing, interview prepping, and basic Microsoft Office classes. In the future, we will incorporate obtaining a driver’s license, financial savings classes, opening a bank account, empowerment conferences, and sustainability classes such as community gardening and DIY classes for their home and personal use. All services will be FREE of charge to all individuals in this program.
Each individual will receive a welcome package once enrolled.
